Leap year is a year containing one additional day in order to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, a calendar that had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected.
This is astronomical people!

Midnight Reflections Review
Julia's midnight reflections actually happened at four in the morning. She was far from home, lonely, watching a handsome man sleeping in her bed at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Robin, the handsome sleeping man had put himself in terrible danger so she could solve a mystery. Now she was feeling guilty as hell.
Robin has become obsessed by Julia, knowing something besides her attractiveness enchanted; an illusive mixture of sweetness and intelligence that beckons. He's playing a role, hiding his true identity, trying to win her heart.
Julia is playing a dangerous role herself, working for the man she suspects murdered her brother. She also suspects that Robin is much more than the mechanic he proclaims himself to be. Can she trust him?
Together they uncover information so inflamitory they are forced to flee a dangerous and angry politician. He rules a dangerous and profitable drug army. People who will do anything to get into his good graces. Even murder.

The Golden Rose Review
Special story for children.
THE GOLDEN ROSE, written by K. Crumley.
Nicola was a peasant girl, poor in pennies but rich in faith. She was once betrothed to a nobleman's son. But, when their wedding day came he refused to marry her for fear of losing his status and wealth.
To console Nicola, the minister gave her a special gift...
Two heart shaped seeds. One was sterling silver, the other pure gold.
He promises that it will lead her to happiness and love...
But, when her prized possession is stolen away from her, she must confront a skeptical king and his handsome son.
Can faith win out over doubt?
~~~~~
This story originally appeared in print, in the Fall 2010 issue of Full Armor Magazine complete with illustrations by Tracy A. McCann.
Proceeds to be donated to childhood cancer related charities.
This is a sweet short story that kept me reading. Interesting and fun, and it's wonderful that the author is donating the proceeds to charity!
