Welcome Bryan Dull - Game, Interview, & Giveaway

Welcome Bryan Dull!

He's been kind enough to stop by to play the Lucky 7's game & answer a few questions!

Lucky 7's

If you don't all know what the Lucky 7's game is, it is a fun game where authors tag authors.

Of course with any tagging game, there are rules…

1. Go to page 77 of your current MS.

2. Go to line 7.

3. Copy down the next 7 lines (sentences or paragraphs) and post them as they’re written.

Here's Bryans:

The air around us seemed thick; it was hard to breathe. Solstice threw her legs out of the car and stood up. The clothes I gave her to wear from my daughter’s old wardrobe didn’t fit anymore. The blue long sleeve shirt arms came to the middle of her forearm now and the black skirt came up a little higher on her than I was comfortable with. She turned around to look at me and I couldn’t help but notice that her breasts were starting to fill out; Holy shit? Were they always there or did I just not notice? Her hairs went from nice and silky back to a potential afro. Maybe she only looks healthy when she has fed in some sense. I was taken back at first but came back to reality when she said,” Okay, let’s get this over with.”

Interview

Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?

I typically like to observe film and music. Most of my ideas stem from a scene in a particular film or a great part in a song. Other than that I like to play games when everybody is at home asleep.

Q: What do you like best about the genre you write in?

That anything can happen and will at some point. In a world where we accept vampires that sparkle, we now have free reign.

Q: Where is your favorite place to write?

Downstairs in my favorite chair with a laptop on my…well…lap.

Q: What’s your next project?

“Equinox” the sequel to “Solstice”. I have to get this out and about because it has been stuck in my head since writing the first one.

Q: How do you feel about Dr. Pepper?

While it is not my first carbonated drink of choice, I respect a man that created a drink to impress his girlfriend’s dad. That’s the story, right?

I don't know but I might check into that now. Thanks so much for stopping by today Bryan!

Giveaway!

Today we will be hosting a giveaway for the author of Solstice. You can check out my recent review of Solstice below if you would like to read a bit of information about the book.

The giveaway will be open until Monday at 6:00 PM EST. We will then randomly choose and announce the winner tomorrow, and they will be contacted by the author to send them their digital copy of Solstice!

Good luck everyone….Ready, Set, Go!

Solstice Review

In Gavin Moxley's world, there is not a thin line between right and wrong. In a personal crusade to help severe a line of disease carried by a clan of vampires that are purposely infecting the human population; Gavin has no choice to be ruthless. Waiting for the infection to start within the person, Gavin executes them one by one. Gavin is not strong or powerful, so finding the persons before they turn into full vampires is ideal.

This is Gavin's life, and nothing has changed it until a young half breed vampire, Solstice, attaches herself to Gavin. Asking for help and protection, Gavin unwillingly takes Solstice and agrees to protection for information leading to whereabouts of others that are infected.

Solstice's existence leads to a dangerous game of cat and mouse. There is no where safe for either of them as they are consistently being hunted. Solstice is a rare breed and is wanted for her "ability".

For Gavin, the past is not always forgotten. During their outing, Gavin starts coming to terms about his past and his family. His faith and humanity is tested during the turmoil that ensues.

"Solstice" is a story about faith and love in a way that is completely unconventional. Torn between his hate and his love for Solstice he is thrown into a moral dilemma that only he can figure out.

Loved the vampire take!

(An ARC Review) One experiment and one vampire’s ploy gone very, very bad for the human race. Infected vampires are much, much worse than regular vampires in this tale. At times the vampires reminded me more of zombies which makes them seem more undead. That is, until Gavin teams up with the object those vamp’s desire. Then it’s an action-packed race to the finish line. Great characters, great storyline. Loved this book and hope to read the next in the trilogy!

A Chance of Fate Book Tour

HE’S TERRIFIED

Chance McGregor is known as one of the toughest werewolves around. As the Dominion Creek Pack Guardian it’s his job to protect the pack and its laws. Even if that requires him to find his true mate or mate with someone of the council’s choosing. With the Mating Ceremony fast approaching – and Chance a very unwilling participant – he has more on his mind than pack safety. It’s enough to make even the baddest werewolf whine like a puppy.

SHE’S IN CONTROL

Stephanie Taylor is finally making her way in the world. She’s out of a bad marriage, starting a business with her best friend in a great new town, and in control of her stable – if not sometimes boring – life. She can handle boring and she doesn’t need a man to tell her what’s best for her anymore.

WHAT’S A WOLF TO DO?

When Chance runs into Stephanie on the street, he realizes that he found his woman. The problem is she’s a human. Not a problem for him though. Now all he has to do is convince her that they are meant to be together forever; talk the ever-meddling pack council into allowing the mating; and protect his pack from a group of rogue wolves wreaking havoc across the state. With their hearts, and lives, on the line Chance and Stephanie will do the only thing they can…

The Wild's Call Review

It is seven years after the collapse of modern civilization, and the world is entering a new Dark Age. Can best friends Elysia and Darien trust the animal spirits that are beckoning them to escape into the wilderness and create a new way of life? And will they give in to the mutual passion they've always denied?

Don't miss this thrilling prequel story set in the same world as Jeri Smith-Ready's Aspect of Crow trilogy: Eyes of Crow, Voice of Crow and The Reawakened.

The Wild's Call (serial SHORT STORY, Aspect of Crow prequel)The Wild's Call by Jeri Smith-Ready

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This short story is a prequel to “Eyes of Crow” and is set after the modern world collapse. The story, characters, and action are interesting, and the ending was satisfying. I liked it and I think it makes a great free opening to a series.

A Chance of Fate (Dominion Creek Pack, #1)A Chance of Fate by Emleigh Walsh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have to say I’m very impressed by this first-time author and the beautiful job she developing this story. This HOT romance is funny and intriguing, the characters are strong, and ending was satisfying. I’m not really into werewolves, I’m more of a vampire girl, but I enjoyed every bit of this involving story and hope to read more from this author.

Olivia Martin’s afterlife was more dangerous and confusing than her life ever was. She thought she was ready to come back, to forget about Holden and to let go of the rage consuming her. Curse of the Egyptian Goddess is FREE!

My novella, Curse of the Egyptian Goddess is FREE on Amazon May 5th & 6th. Get your copy and tell your friends!

Given her ten-year curse that leaves her beaten and bruised, Emma Patrix has grown accustomed to drinking away the pain. And with a trail of dead bodies behind her, it was only a matter of time before the law caught up.

Now she's accused of murder and she must flee the country to find the one man who can help her break the curse-Calvin Konrad. She finally catches up with him in Egypt, but he's not the same sweet boy she remembers from her childhood. And getting him to help her proves more difficult than she ever imagined.

Excerpt:

By Monday morning, I had come to grips with my situation and had a firm understanding of where I stood. Nine days ago I was accused of murder, eight days ago I broke the law by hopping on a plane to Egypt, and now I was completely fucked without Calvin’s help.

I wore a long sleeved black shirt with my black jeans because they suited my mood. At least the stewardess still served me and I felt better, almost numb when I entered the airport back in Madison. Unfortunately, I had a feeling the man rushing toward me in the terminal was about to kill my buzz.

Detective Cade wore another crinkled suit. He had his cuffs in hand, dark circles under his eyes, and deep lines of irritation streaked his forehead. I smiled and waved but the stuffy ass wasn’t amused.

He growled as he pulled my wrists behind my back and slapped the handcuffs on. “You can’t leave a note that says you’ll be back in two weeks when I told you not to leave town.”

“Ow!”

“Christ! Are you permanently bruised?” He sounded cross, but he loosed the cuffs a little.

Buzz gone, I sighed before I turned back. “You’re going to have to carry my bag now. You realize that?”
