Welcome Belinda Boring!

Please welcome Belinda Boring who is now joining us from her Forget Me Not Book Tour. She's agreed to answer a few question to help you get to know her.

Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself. What do you do for fun?

I’m Australian born and moved over to live in the US when I met my husband. I went from being surrounded by beautiful beaches to cactus, but the last 12 years have been amazing. I’m a self-proclaimed swoon and romance junkie so it was a natural step to try writing and I’m addicted. I love reading about strong heroines and flawed heroes … LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the angst that comes with romance. And for fun? I love causing mischief!! I try to tell people I’m innocent and shy, but if you’ve seen me on Facebook or met me in person, it’s hard to believe. Oh, and did I mention I’m a Facebook junkie as well? I probably need some kind of intervention LOL

Q: What do you like most about the genre you write in?

I am an AVID romance reader. It’s actually how I became the Bookish Snob (my book blog) because others would try to get me to read outside the genre, and I’d politely refuse. I love the anticipation of first love, the angst, and of course, those swoony moments and kisses. I plan on writing stories that fall all through the genre – Young Adult, Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and who knows … maybe something steamier. I write the kinds of stories I love to read.

Q: Where is your favorite place to write?

I have a few places. I love writing in my office. It has this comfy chaise chair I can stretch out in for long periods of time and a desk if I want to look outside for inspiration. It’s a good for when I’m really focused and not wanting to be distracted. But give me headphones and a bottle of cold water, and I can write anywhere if needed.

Funny thing is this. In the beginning, I would dream up my stories. I would keep a pen and paper beside my bed and start scribbling away ideas when I woke up. It’s how I came up with the Mystic Wolves and Broken Promises concepts. Now, it’s my shower. Hahaha! Yep, I have a magical shower, and if I could figure out a way to do it, THAT would be my favorite place to write. I come up with chapter ideas, inspiration, and sometimes complete book outlines. It’s crazy!

Q: What’s your next project?

I actually have a few (darn shower!) I’m in final edits for my Enchanted Hearts novella. It’s part of the anthology called A Midsummer’s Night Fling and it’s been a fun project because I’ll be publishing with my best friend and business partner, Lacey Weatherford, and her daughter, Kamery Solomon. Three stories that involve the Fae and all are romances. Enchanted Hearts was so much fun to write that it inspired a FIVE book series and will be released over the next few years.

I’m also working on the next book in the Mystic Wolves series called Testing Fate. It’s going to be action packed – filled with everything readers have come to expect. You’ll get some answers to questions, learn more things, and of course … hmmm, I’m not sure I should mention that. Just know that it’ll have ALL KINDS of swoon and sexy in it!

Two more projects are finishing and releasing Broken Promises, and a story that has taken on a life of its own, Call of the Phoenix. Broken Promise will be my next solo release and I’m really excited to share it with everyone!

Q: How do you feel about Dr. Pepper?

Hahaha. I. do. not. like. Dr Pepper! To the point where there have been times I’ve taken a drink from my husband’s soda and had to spit it out rather than swallow. BLECH! And for what it’s worth, I don’t like root beer either. Yep, I’m a freak but ICK! I’m a cold water, lemonade, mango smoothie, Coke Zero kinda girl.

Thanks for having me on your blog, Lisa :D

Sorry to hear about the Dr. Pepper affliction but thanks so much for stopping by Belinda!
