Snarkology Paranormal Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the first annual Snarkology Paranormal Blog Hop!

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it's not ONLY the little chocolate candy bars with nuts that lures me. It's the paranormal creatures said to come out on All Hallows Eve!

(...Okay, and the little chocolate candy bars with nuts)

Vampires and witches, specifically, have always intrigued me which is probably why my Wanted: Vampire Trilogy came to be.

For the hop, I'm giving away PDF copies of Wanted: Vampire - Free Blood (Book 1) and Wanted: Vampire - Bad Blood (Book 2) to one commentor.

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment with this this statement - "A vampire and a witch walk into a bar on Halloween and ..." Then finish the sentence with your own Halloween story. Short or long, the more creative comment, the better!

Closed - Congratulations Sherry!

(Winner will be drawn randomly on Nov 1st)

Check out the short book trailers

Excerpt:

He spoke slowly, introducing himself as Malik Drake with a sharp foreign accent that she couldn’t place. She thought he seemed nice, right up until he said, “You’re dead.”

When she froze in place, he continued in a softer tone. “I can tell you are dead inside. You needn’t try to hide it from me. I’ve seen the look before. You are at a party yet you bide your time with hardly an upward glance. You find it dull, do you not? Or perhaps, you would rather be dead?”

“What are you? A shrink?” she asked suspiciously, lifting her head to meet a spine-tingling smirk.

“No, but I should think you might be interested in my unique gifts.”

“Oh, really? Do you drink blood?” she teased, laughing at her own private joke. A tiny gasp escaped her lips when he smiled and tightened his grip around her waist. Her heart beat faster, and she found herself unable to look away from his beauty.

“May I give you a birthday kiss, Alexis?” he asked, running a gloved finger down the side of her neck.

She didn’t get a chance to answer before his cold lips brushed hers. For a moment they stared into each other’s eyes, and she saw a yellow glow around his pupils. Her mind raced with the possibilities, but her body was losing its ability to function. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t breathe. The air wouldn’t enter her lungs.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hop On!

  2. I'll start this off...
A vampire and a witch walked into a bar on Halloween and a short, husky Leprechaun held up his hand to stop their passage. He wore a hot dog costume with a large hole through the center.
"Do you know what I am, Lads?"
The vampire and the witch exchanged an irritated glance. "What?" they asked at the same time.
    "A hollowed weenie."

  5. A vampire and a witch walk into a bar on Halloween and after several drinks and a long, intense conversation, decide that a mutual blood exchange could be beneficial for both. Neither realized the impact this single decision would have on the rest of their very long lives...michelle_willms@yahoo(dot)com

  7. A vampire and a witch walk into a bar on Halloween. "I'd sure like to have a little hex with him," the witch thought. "There's someone I could really sink my teeth into," the vampire mused. Across the crowded room, they caught each others eye. He smiled, she winked. She sent him a bloody Mary, he bought her a brew. They danced, they talked, they ended up tangled in the sheets. What a night!

  10. A vampire and a witch walk into a bar on Halloween and begin making themselves at home. The witch, entering first, hangs up her cloak and sets her ride, her broom up against the wall before taking a seat at the bar. She looks around, and it doesn't take her long to notice that this is a vamp bar despite being named Hocus Pocus. Clearly, her plans for a Halloween hookup were not going so well. Then, our vampire walks in. For some reason, he grabs *her* broom. And he starts SWEEPING with it. The nerve! So, the witch asks him, "What do you think you're doing, bloodsucker?" With a sneer, the vampire responds, "I'm cleaning! What does it look like! I'm the OWNER." Cackling, the witch calmly states, "Well, not any more!" Snapping her fingers, she turns the vampire into a wolf. Oh, the inhumanity!
