Bound to Remember Review

Bound to Remember
Book One of the Spellbound Series

Vampires and Witches and Myths, oh my!

Toni is a young doctor with a past she can't remember and a deadly reason for forgetting it.

Ben is a nurse who has his own tragic past and transfers hospitals after an act of heroism forces his secluded life public.

Ben can’t believe his eyes when he meets Toni, she has an uncanny resemblance to an old friend of his, and Toni can’t help but find Ben irresistible.

Enter Kevin, Toni’s sexy but arrogant Ex. Kevin’s jealousy of Ben blinds him from his main objective, Toni.

A dangerous secret is revealed and a magic spell seems to be a quick remedy, but the witch that helps has a little more than magic up her sleeve…

Bound to Remember (Spellbound, #1)Bound to Remember by Lola James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is great!

I was drawn to this book by the cover and the title. I love it, and seeing that it was a paranormal romance, I had to read it. Great characters. I grew attached to the mysterious Ben right away, wanting to snuggle up to him. Toni is a smart, competent, and independent woman. I liked the way they interacted and the way the paranormals followed the rules, so to speak. Interesting twists and turns led to an explosive, shocking ending which left me anxious for the next book. Loved it!

  1. Lisa Rayns has found a way to blend two intriguing subjects : romance and the paranormal into one great type of page turning novel. Highly recommended!

  3. How fortunate that we have talented writers like Lola James and Lisa Rayns to produce such fine escapist pieces of writing. Even if you don't believe in either the paranormal or romance, you justMight find yourself believing in both if you allow yourseLf to get into some of the page turners created by these two ladies and some of their colleagues. Perfect for taking you away to the exciting, stimulating lives of these imaginary characters. Or, could one of them be you???

  5. Interesting that you talented ladies seem to be fans of one another. Am wondering if you spend much time researching the paranormal. Or, do you rely on what you already know, and use your considerable skills to weave your knowledge into these unique stories.

  6. Wow.....Lisa........you really R a prolific reader. I just checked out the list of blogs U follow! Impressive indeed! I had a look @ 1 & was shocked 2 see a face from the distant past.....Lucille Ball! Remember when she used 2 beg Ricky 4 5 bucks 2 buy a new dress? And those schemes she & Ethel used 2 dream up 2 fool "the boys" (Ricky & Fred) or 2 get a part in 1 of Ricky's shows? TOO funny....boy, those were the days, when girls were girls & men were men!

  7. Guess I got carried away with my Lucy rant because I ran out of space before my point was made. Just saying'.... Our society was much better... Less complicated......when men's & women's roles & expectations were clearly defined. Why no wadays, U can hardly tell the girls from the boys, what with jeans & sneakers and shaved heads and tattoos 4 girls, & earings & dyed hair on the boys. It's all well & good 4 women's equality & stuff like that, but things have gone 2 far. They even let "same sex" couples have equal rights with us normal ones. Where will it all end? These great romance novels don't get into any of that stuff.Good on U, girls!

  8. Sorry for not responding sooner. I've been working nights and my schedule is all messed up.

I did grow up with Lucille Ball too, and I sure wish the price of gas and things were a little closer to what they were back then!

I love finding and reading new Paranormal Romance authors and I was excited when I made it to Lola's book.

I do my fair share of research on paranormal activies but I try to put my own twist on things to make it original.

I think I covered all your questions. Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments!
